Hi.. the above answers some questions. I emailed your post to
Don Anderson along with somebody's email to me with some really
tough questions and hopefully will get a response back.
It doesn't fit in with the drilling thread except for the tangent that
there is heavy heavy drilling in the Gulf with dayrates sky high..
when an elephant is hit they will need to use these pipelines and
the competition pipelines. I asked Don who else had pipelines in the
Gulf and he couldn't give me the names..He added that some of the
drilling was quite near their pipeline. I wish there were more hours
in the day to do research. I am also using the resources at SI to
ask some people who I think might know about the industry supply some
information..
Once again..I think the pieces have fallen in place for the company
and with the litigation with Shoreham past now(don't know the details
except what I read) the stock should move..but maybe not for a half
a year. I think I was told that only two percent is insider held..
to me that is pretty low..guess I have to start asking more difficult
questions..I was just basically thrilled to find a pipeline company
with a good balance sheet and a team in place when I started hearing
about the beginning of takeovers..Although I love technology (being
a former mainframe programmer among other things)I feel safer investing in companies with "hard assets" such as pipelines or
good industrial equipment which cannot be replaced undernight and
which would cost fortunes to replace...
Also I look for environmental plays so natural gas = clean energy
etc...
