Jeff, you've started a great, thought provoking thread. I have considered starting one devoted to Mr. G, but haven't as yet. I've posted on many other threads about my frustration with his and the FOMC board's non-action. I just don't get it, they are just so paranoid about wage inflation (even afraid of PROSPERITY IMHO!), meanwhile you have oil and the CRB in free fall, virtually nil sign of inflation save for the aforementioned uptick in wages, and Mr. G must be satiated now that we have, by and large, blown off "irrational exuberance"! Meanwhile, the yield curve is inverted, which often portends not too good consequences for the economy. To paraphrase you, Give us a break, Al - lower rates!
