Wisdom, you are right on target. IBM and Dell will solidify even more relationships probably having to do with Dell's E@Commerce approach to selling PCs. IBM has stated they have lost huge sums using direct or remarketer channels. With sub-1000 PCs the Internet is the only way to go. PCCG is selling a very robust machine for less than 400 dollars and making a nice profit even without the use of an incremental methodology. IBM announced it will now sell virtually everything they make on the Internet. The high priced PC market is mostly saturated with first time users wanting an Internet connection machine going for the sub-1000 models. PCCG has the offerings and with their upcoming advertising strategies rolling out the visibility issue will start to get better.
