To All: I don't believe that the Zenith deal and the tie in to developing digital TV is that far fetched. Ampex holds MANY patents which are instrumental for the development of digital tv. Additionally as someone else had earlier posted, the zenith deal points to video-on-demand services for which Ampex's DST is extremely well suited. I do believe part of the increased activity is based on this data. Also read on another service (AOLs Motely Fool), that there will be an upcoming article in a magazine, forget the name right now, stating that Ampex has already reached an agreement with a hard drive maker(s?) involving the use of keepered technology and that it will be anounced within a month or two. The CEO had previously said that if keepered was licensed, it would be towards the latter part of '96. More than likely, the increased activity is based on this news as well.
