Learn something about the law before you argue with a lawyer, please.

Treaties ARE law.

They are approved by the Congress, signed by the President.

Until formally repealed or rescinded, they are the law of the land just as much as drunk driving laws are.

Now go back to your books and learn something. And quit trying to argue with somebody who knows what he's talking about until you have done your homework.
