Alert: Morgan Stanley Cuts Novell to Neutral From Outperform (NasdaqNM:NOVL) +++++ Novell fell 1 1/4 to 20 3/4 in early trading on Nasdaq after rising as high as 25 in after-hours trading yesterday. The network-software maker said after the market closed that its fourth-quarter net income rose to 21 cents a share from 12 cents a year earlier. Before a gain, it earned 17 cents, matching the average estimate of analysts polled by First Call/Thomson Financial. The ''whisper estimate,'' the number Wall Street analysts share with their clients, was 18 cents a share.
