I don't know what, if anything, is different about the malaria project, but in my most recent call to IR, Alan did mention that Vical was starting their own malaria vaccine Phase I clinical. I know they want to continue to get an increasing number of potential products into the testing pipeline so maybe this is a way to accomplish that.
