AAH-HA! I think I see the confusion. You were referring to interest on a mortgage taken out to supply money for investment purposes. I was referring to the deductions from income that can be taken by any home-based business. This would include a portion of rent and/or mortgage, utilities, etc. I will still seek confirmation from my tax accountant.
