MICROSOFT CORP. Receives U.S. Patents Covering Water, Air & Dirt April 1, 1998, MicroSoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT - news) announced that it received three patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering fundamental technology for conducting Life on Earth. When asked about future licensees a company spokesman said; "this is just part of our planned integration of life on Earth in our in WIN 98 OS ......this will fit right in with our patent on gravity as something all consumers have asked us to provide.
