<Have you seen one working? Evidently not.>

Actually, I've seen several working. They are actually using them already - on braodway right off of Wall Street. You see, believe it or not, several small companies have beat Oracle to the punch in production.

Tell me Bill, the NC that you saw demonstated, what connection did it have to the inter/intranet? T1? How many other machines shared its connection? None? What about the availability of applications and the stabilty of its OS?

Lets be realistic fellas. In order for the NSC to work, we are all going to have to invest in SIGNIFICANT corporate infrastructure renovations. Then will it work? I have seen P120/16 mb machines with 1.6gb hardrives, modem and 15 inch svga screens for 800. Why get an NC, when the PC can offer centralized adminsitration and better performance at a lower price? The NC's only possible advantages are lower admin costs and potentially lower acquistion costs. These are yet to be apparent, while the spectre of increased infrastructure costs are looming.

Don't call me names, answer the question.
