Well, if you know of anything going on at Cadence let us know - they are still predominately a Sun shop with Solaris as their development environment and their business on Sun continues to grow at the expense of hpux, aix and digital unix. Remember that Intel and Compaq are some of Cadence's biggest customers so of course they have Merced Plans - but NT is making almost no inroads after 2 years on the front end or physical verification back end especially as customers realize their is no price break (just a performance and stability break!) for running NT. Of course many Cadence engineers have a NT "workstation" on their desk - to run MS Word if that counts.
