McClellan's ultimate punishment as a turn coat?..he is forced to stomach an appearance with MSNBC's mad-dog Olbermann.

From the liberal website, politico.com:

>In addition to talking to NPR “Morning Edition” host Renee Montagne, McClellan goes on MSNBC with White House fave Keith Olbermann. You can’t make it up!

As part of a pushback by presidential allies, reporters were pointed to a 2004 briefing in which McClellan said of a critical book by former anti-terror czar Richard Clarke, “I mean, why, all of a sudden, if he had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner?”

PUNDIT PREP -- CBS News’ Vaughn Ververs says in a “Horserace” blog posting that McClellan’s allegations are bad news for Senator McCain because they give Senator Obama new talking points to bolster his argument that it is judgment, not the experience McCain is selling, which is the more important quality for a president:

"McCain was thought to be best positioned to avoid the undertow because he is not viewed as a typical ‘Bush Republican’ and because he has clashed with the president in the past."
