It's the opposite here in Austin, that is, if you see an unusual number of people sneezing, coughing, or exhibiting stopped up or runny noses, it means allergy. What I did when I got my symptoms was to go to this site. I then correlated the dates of onset with the pollen count history given on that page and it became so obvious what was causing my grief - namely, cedar pollen(actually it is really juniper pollen but the name 'cedar' stuck for so many years). The numbers were through the roof!

Anyway, I checked for Denver and there isn't a site like that where you can go back and see the history of pollen counts - at least, not that I could find.

Some on this thread have claimed to have found relief(for allergy or cold) by upping their vitamin D intake to 20,000 IU or more until the symptoms ease. It certainly can't be harmful to take that much over the period of time we're talking here. In fact, 20,000 IU is the upper limit or what your skin can make in a day in the sun. Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to take 50,000 IU per day for the short period of time we're talking about.

As an aside, has anyone tried the plain yogurt from Karoun Dairies? I'm eating it right now for the first time and didn't realize I had even bought it. Anyway, it's the most delicious yogurt I've ever tasted. Wish I could tell you what I paid for it but it was bought two weeks ago.
