AFTER THE BELL - DoubleClick falls, Sun Micro up

NEW YORK, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Shares of online advertising company, DoubleClick Inc. (NasdaqNM:DCLK - news) dropped three points in after-hours trade despite reporting third quarter results that beat Wall Street's estimates, traders said.

The stock was at 124-1/2 up 4-5/8 to 127-1/2 during the regular session.

Sun Microsystems Inc. (NasdaqNM:SUNW - news) gained more than a point after hours following its better-than-expected results. It traded at 90-7/8, up from a closing price of 89-13/32 on the Nasdaq.

Shares of Broadcom Corp. (NasdaqNM:BRCM - news) jumped about five points to 121-3/4 after the bell after the communications chip maker surpassed analysts' profit estimates on expanded product lines and recent acquisitions.

Broadcom closed at 116-13/16 on the Nasdaq after falling 2-11/16 during the day.

Rambus Inc. (NasdaqNM:RMBS - news) was unchanged at 72-3/4 after posting higher fourth quarter results.

The New York Stock Exchange said that session one volume was 4.6 million shares compared with 4.4 million shares on Wednesday. Session two volume was 8.3 million shares versus 3.4 million the previous day.
