Jim:
I concur with your analysis and commments on DELL. BTW, what are your thoughts regarding DELL's alliance with DGN, in terms of their Clariion storage systems?? The stock is very quiet, as of late, but it is under accumulation according to Investors Business Daily's "A" rating. I think DGN could eventually be acquired by DELL, and worse case, see increasing growth of sales with the DELL alliance.
On the software subject end, have you or your partner been getting involved with NOVL? I've been in it since Dec97, and the Dr. Eric Schmidt turnaround story continues to gain steam, brick by brick IMHO. A very beautiful turnaround story for 1998, and even my retired venture capitalist father looks at Novell an almost IPO-like company, with $1 billion cash, huge installed NOS base, and product launches into 1998 that may take your breath away. Even Schmidt has mentioned NOVL's IPO-like quality. Just curious as to your thoughts on them. The street is starting to gain this news, and I expect a breakout into the 14-15+ share range within a month as Schmidt makes a splash with Netware 5.0 introduction/announcement.
