It's no surprise that most CEOs we talk to, many of whom live in California, say they'd be foolish to build another plant in the state. California's budget crisis is the inevitable result of runaway liberal governance, and the state's voters will keep paying for it until they reduce their tax burden and adopt more radical spending controls.

CA's problems extend far beyond high taxes and out of control spending. Business throttling regulations and a radical greenie agenda play a big part as well. And not to mention a budget held hostage by government employee unions and demographics that show productive residents and businesses continuing to leave as non productive immigration increases.

It's been said that "trendy" California leads the nation in many directions. It will be highly enlightening to watch them deal with the consequences of the policies they've enacted and the decisions they make today..
