While this may be true the article ignores other benefits of a sports arena....<sic> Various Caesars knew only too well how important it was to make sure the general population had access to entertainment in order to distract them from using their energies elsewhere and perhaps against the government...

Well, it worked for a few years with Caligula, let's see if Obama gets the same use of it......
