We Didn’t Listen to the Age of Stupid

Chris Horner
Planet Gore

A new movie by the unique title of The Age of Stupid is about to be screened in the European Parliament, hosted by several particularly bossy MEPs. In the year 2050, an archivist (played by Peter Postlethwaite of The Usual Suspects and In the Name of the Father fame) looks back at all of today’s ignored documentary evidence pointing to the coming climate catastrophe that will go on to produce the environmental dystopia in which he lives, poor guy.

It sounds like The Omega Man meets An Inconvenient Truth. Rather, Omega Man meets South Park’s treatment of An Inconvenient Truth (the whole “we didn't listen” hysteria cum flagellation, ad absurdum).

Oddly, it seems that one of the sponsors is the same Anders Wijkman of Sweden who previously was notable for trying to block the screening of The Great Global Warming Swindle in those same hallowed halls after a panel on which I served, as the sort of speech that ought not be permitted in this building
(either a very close paraphrase or direct quote from his appeal).
