Almost all xDSL lines will be over POTS and therefore be wet and will not have a problem any worse than todays POTS. Only the ones without POTS (a small percentage) will require an ISDN like sealing current. Also, the designs of the FEC and equalizers are against worst case splices, taps, RF ingress etc.. So the majority will fall in the normal range and work very well. Only the outliers will be a problem and those can be fixed as I discussed.
