I have no qualms about copying CDs from big selling established artists but when it comes to the young ones who are struggling to make it I have a big problem with it, but if you copy a CD for someone who regularly goes to concerts and that person will likely go see them live if they like the CD and they otherwise wouldn't have been exposed to the artist you're actually helping the artist. Am I over rationalizing? Probably, but I had a lot more scruples when the Nasdaq was over 5000!
