12/9/10 Update
Obama cut a deal with the Republicans but Wall Street’s celebration was muted.
At Thursday’s close, the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 15.31% YTD (vs. up 14.20% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 10.90% YTD (vs. up 10.19% YTD a week ago), while the better-performing Contest median was up 11.63% YTD (vs. up 8.24% YTD a week ago).
ROCKY’s portfolio (up 51.10% YTD) continued to lead the pack, with FILO’s portfolio (up 39.72% YTD) and RKRW’s portfolio (up 37.92% YTD) remaining in the No. 2 & No. 3 positions.
At Thursday's close, 24 of the 32 Contest portfolios were in the black with 17 of the 32 beating the NBI.
