Well its not a like-for-like test, so its hard to say whether the processor, or the memory is responsible for the performance difference. we don't know whether the Intel system was running with 100Mhz or 133Mhz Front Side Bus, nor do we know the speed of Rambus used for main memory in the Intel system.

I think the only safe conclusion, if these figures are genuine, is that an Intel/Rambus system can be configured, which is ahead (slightly) of an AMD/SDRAM system with the same processor speed.
