Rambus Director Dunlevie Bought 60,000 Shares In July (RMBS) (NewsTraders.com)-- Rambus (RMBS) director Bruce Dunlevie purchased 60,000 shares of the chip-to-chip interface technology firm in late July, according to Form 4 filing released today. Dunlevie scooped up the stock on July 21 and July 27 for per-share prices running from $69.98 to $89.31, and now directly controls 260,960 shares, as well as 3.8 million shares indirectly through a partnership and a trust.
Of note, Rambus has made headlines lately, as speculation surfaced that chip powerhouse Intel (INTC) shelved plans to use Rambus' direct memory in the mainstream PC market, although the product will still reportedly be utilized in high-end desktop wares, as disclosed by NewsTraders on Aug. 11.
Until last month, Intel had promised that Rambus' DRAM would be the exclusive memory for the Pentium 4, Electronic News reported.
In recent market activity, shares of Rambus, headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., gained $0.94 to $81.94 in recent trading.
