I think the courteous and respectful act would have been to inform the British Embassy of the honor of displaying the Churchill bust in the Oval Office, and requesting that the present administration be allowed to display it for one more Presidential term. It would have been a handshake to the British, reaffirming the long standing special relationship. I'll bet they would have countered by making the bust a special permanent gift to the people of America. An opportunity not only squandered, but lost by narcissistic incompetence.
