If California has anything resembling a state religion, it's conservation. California has been pursuing a demand-side approach to energy policy for decades. In other words, if you need more energy for homes and businesses, you don't produce more. Rather, you try to figure out how everybody can consume less. The environmental fascists control this state in total. It's just like the Philippines, rolling brownouts, thanks to them blocking/delaying power plant construction forever. They and their facilitators in the state legislature are crushing the economy. People and businesses leaving in droves.... Perhaps that was the plan all along, make things so expensive that no business/person in their right mind would move here, then the Salt Water Titmouse can feel free to overrun the state. Will the last business please turn out the lights...(and turn off that personal generator too)...<g>
