I wasn't suggesting that it was only liberals, I was just pointing out all of the other government invasisons of our privacy that seem to be their favorite programs and which they support. I was also trying to make the point that it would be more logical to accept an infringment of privacy rights, for safety reasons, then for the purposes that I noted.

I would also conceded that many conservatives (those not of the liberterian ilk) are quick to invade our privacy in the name of "national security" or "law and order".

There is a lot of hypocrisy on both sides.
