Ally, I have an old 486 connected to my LAN thru Cable Modem, Router/KVM switch and I thought it worked pretty slick as a spare. Installed Norton System Works 2002, ran a virus check, OK. But then I noticed the 486 came to a creeping slow pace. Man it was slow. Deleted System Works and it picked up speed, Not bad at all for backup.
