kas, I wish I had insight into this, but I do not attribute much of today's slide in NTAP to this announcement. OTOH, put yourself in ORCL's shoes. EMC is, in fact, the King of storage networks for large enterprises. If you as ORCL wish to have an impact at the very highest level and highest scale in corporate America for B2B and B2C apps, EMC is where you start. This announcement merely means that EMC/CSCO/ORCL will be certifying configurations and providing best practices so that customers are more assured of sound hardware/software solutions from these giants. This not a product announcement or even a joint marketing agreement. Don't underestimate KPMG's role in this happening. What a gravy train for IT consultants!
