The Dad thought it was terrific that his son and his friend had been training themselves to be commandos who could foil trackers and survive off the land. How bizarre do you have to be to find that to be an accomplishment of your child that you're proud of. Obviously some racialist idiot who was proud his son was training for some imaginary coming race war.
