Check and see if you have a Microsoft Home Publishing 2000 disk that came with your computer. Install it again and your corrupted file will probably be overwritten and you'll be back in business.

By deleting AOL 8 I hope you mean that you used the Add/Remove Programs applet in your Control Panel to remove the program and that you didn't just delete the AOL 8 folder?

I think you said you are running WindowsMe. If so, have you tried System Restore to go back to a date before your problem started?
