While scanning all files for viruses, I noticed a lot of files like. . .
(Using Windows ME, sorry to say)

C:\_RESTORE\TEMP\A039nnnn.CPY

(I mean a humongous amount of files and bytes. . . 835.5 MB)

I tried Searching for them. . . no luck.

I went to DOS and could not see them doing simple DIR's.

I finally did a "CD _RESTORE" and it worked. . . did another "DIR" with no luck. . . did a "CD TEMP" and it worked!

Then, I did a "DIR" and the directory started to display the file names. . .
(with really old dates going back to August of 2002)

Does anyone know what this crap is and why there is SO MUCH of it taking up valuable disk space?

What do I do about it?

The directories were setup as "hidden" so we couldn't see them (normally)!

Thank you,
Joe
