nn, I have a home network only and have not come across that problem. Besides I have Win98, not XP. I have noticed that it can take many minutes for my PC to detect what is networked to it [after I open 'Network Neighborhood']. Also, sequence matters. The laptop is seen by the desktop only if it is booted after the desktop. Yet I can access shared folders and printers. Gottfried
