Ok - I will say it. We need a gasoline tax - not a carbon tax. A gasoline tax will make everyone pay. A gasoline tax will drive people away from gas guzzlers. The boom bust cycle of gasoline is killing the development of alternates. The tax could ebb and flow with the price of crude. At high crude prices the tax could be zero. But oh - the cash flow forecasting problems!
