You can't sell a stock that is at ETRADE at DATEK. I buy stocks at ETRADE that I plan on selling covered calls against. DATEK WILL NOT deal with options at the present time so I use them strictly for trading certain stocks. DATEK gives me real time quotes ETRADE doesn't. DATEK comission is 10 ETRADE is 20. This mounts up over a years time if you trade a lot. When I watch stocks sometimes there is only a small window when it meets the price that I want to pay. If I can't get logged on to one I can place the order with the other broker. If its a sell and their system is down you will probably miss it while you wait for the broker on the phone. Everyone that trades has a horror story. If it hasn't happened to you yet it is just a question of time. Just remember that computer trading is so much better than a live broker. There are fewer mistakes. DATEK notifies you about transactions immediately if you are on line and also send you EMAIL in case you busy doing something else. Lee Swift
