I'm listening to Edward Liddy testifying before the relevant committee. That man deserves some kind of medal for taking on the mess he did six months ago, working for no pay and knowing as much as he does about how things work. So far he has given good answers to every question. Barney Frank asked for the names of the people who got bonuses, and he refused, citing the threats that were made against him and others. The people who caused the problem are gone. The ones who got bonuses were assigned to fix the problem, and the ones who left performed and earned the bonus that they contracted for. This hearing is the most fascinating thing of its kind I've seen. The man is not bullshitting, falling back on the definition of what 'is' is, and I think he has the respect of the panel.
