I do! The American people have seen that the Republicans are out to destroy Clinton by whatever means they can. A vast majority of the people have consistently given Clinton high approval ratings while the Republicans continue to sink to new lows. The Republican politicians embrace this vendetta as though they simply don't care whether or not they destroy their party's future chances in the process.

What they should see, at long last, is that the McCarthy like tactics of they are using are worse and far more of a threat to the country than anything Clinton did. His evasions and unwillingness to be pinned down are at least understandable. The unconscionable lengths the prosecutors are willing to undertake outrage the people every bit as much as the Nixon tactics to use the IRS against his enemies. Their sanctimonious excuses of "constitutional duty" and "patriotism" are hypocritical and obviously adopted for their political purposes. They had the exact opposite view on the same subject in the Iran Contra affair.

Clinton has accepted some of their programs, like the reduction of welfare, pushing through of NAFTA, balanced budgets, and so on. This is extremely threatening to the Republicans because they see it as a threat to their political philosophical position, and cutting down of the differences between the two. Unfortunately, they don't view it as good for the country, only as a threat to their party.
