In developing a stock tracking program
I searched far and wide for free real-time
stock quotes sites. Most give 50 or a 100
quotes per day. Found only three sites
that give unlimited free RTQ:

datek.com

Technically a "free" site since you can
sign up for free - that is, open an account
with Datek without putting money in.
Allows a lot of quotes at the same time.

freerealtime.com

wallstreetcity.com (through www.tscn.com)

The program I wrote allows you to fetch
real time (and delayed, if you wish) quotes
from the three sites above and from others
and tracks your portfolios, gives live
intraday charts of the stocks and alerts.
Also has a nice interface to bigcharts.com -
makes it a lot easier to play with the charts
than their web interface.

One advantage of using the program instead
of the web sites themselves is that you can
switch between the sites (if one is down,
for example) while maintaining the same
quotes list...

It's shareware - unregistered copies have some
limits on the features.
