A friend of mine found that GTE was slower when it came to analog connections when connecting here in Dallas. ISP speeds will vary in every city based on how the ISP connects to the internet POPs. As far GTE and ISDN, I don't know. There are so many variables involved, such as quality of wiring in your home, distance from GTE's central office, number of connections the ISP stacks on a circuit, etc. A lot of site won't be that much faster either because they are slow on their side. I do know that my realtime stock feeds are much much faster.

I was actually going to sign up with GTE for an ISDN internet account, but they told me it would take up to 24 hours to set up the account. A local ISP did it while I was on the phone.
