As you can see from the charts gold, oil, copper cathodes, heavy scrap steel, nickel and aluminum are priced high due to strong demand. Higher prices than at any time over the last ten years! The FED is trying to slow inflationary pressures and deflate the housing bubble they created. If building materials are getting cheaper it's a good sign that they are making progress on the housing bubble.

That does not mean they are done raising rates. It does not mean one more and done. And personally I think the FED does overshoot on purpose to create opportunities for smart money to buy stocks (or any other investment) at times when the average consumer hates them.
