I took all of my D-link crap back..even though it was cheaper I prefer NETGEAR..look for rebates etc. I use a wireless router which has 4 ports for wired hookups...modem inputs to router ..shared printer

ignore the range that they claim..i find it's pretty much BS and since every environment is different there's no telling until you hook up and walk away with a laptop..and watch the signal drop well before they claim. I've tried, with no success, to find a router with a jack/input for an external antenna..as in OUTSIDE the house..apparently these things aren't available to consumers yet
