t2, Have you seen or heard of James Glassman? He's been writing a column in the Washington Post for years and recently has been touting a whole new market pricing model which takes into account a better educated and rational investing community. He feels that there is less risk because the investing public will not flinch at some bad news. Therefore, stocks are worth more! Ergo, higher multiples.

In his model the Dow 30 should be at 36k.
