Hi Rick,

Believe it or not, I'm getting it for 29.95 forever - it is a discount they are offering currently to their employees (my husband).

Glad to hear you like their service. Charging extra for two computers? I've never heard of that - in fact when I was explaining the situation to the customer service person at Verizon today I did mention that I had a router and two computers hooked up and she never mentioned anything about an additional charge.

As far as the router, I would think that if it is a completely new installation with a new modem and different phone line that the router would have to be re-configured since it is currently configured with the SBC ip addresses, etc. I'm wondering if when the line becomes effective - which is after 11/8 - if instead of using their modem and re-configuring, I could try using my current setup, using the modem I have now and just plugging it into the VZ line and seeing if it would work? What do you think?
