BTW, I think getting what we want is a lot more fun than getting what we need..
To answer your other question on the Feelings thread. Everyone sometimes crave anonymity to express themselves fully. Sometimes people who know us, read things into our posts that we didn't intend them to. I wish I could explain this more fully to you, but you will just have to trust me, that anonymity is sometimes best.
To explain something, when we signed on to SI over a year ago, everyone used their real name and was quite upfront about themselves, not like now.. People got to know who you were, bookmarked your name, followed your postings. I changed my profile and took my real name off there awhile back, but there are people who still know who I am. Sometimes reading things in my postings that I don't mean them to and communicating that to me privately....
I hope this explains things for you. Yes, it could be fun to have your friends share this medium with you and then again maybe not... This is a peculiar way to communcate, its delving inside a person's mind. A intimate and sometimes intruding way to communicate with another person.
I could say more on the subject, but don't want what I say to be miscontrued by others.
I have the beginnings of this poem running though my mind. The title is "The Chasm" I cannot seem to formulate the context of it in my mind.. Maybe, the meaning of it is too complex for me to comprehend at this time
