Pyng Medical Corp., a subsidiary of Pyng Technologies Corp, has addressed the need for a faster, more reliable vascular access route, usable in emergency environments. Pyng's solution is the F.A.S.T.1TM Intraosseous Infusion System. With the F.A.S.T. 1TM system, vascular access in adults can be reliably achieved in about one minute in pre-hospital emergency or battlefield conditions.
F.A.S.T.1TM can be used to provide drugs for medical emergency, or volume fluid resuscitation for treatment of haemorrhagic shock. Typical flow rates for normal saline are 30ml/min under gravity feed and 125ml/min with a pressurized bag or syringe-stopcock manual pump.
A 250ml bag of Hypertonic Saline Dextan (HSD), equivalent to nearly 2 litres of normal saline, can be infused using a syringe- stopcock pump in only 2.5 minutes.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--PYNG TECHNOLOGIES CORP. through subsidiary Pyng Medical Corp. is pleased to announce that the company's product the F.A.S.T. 1 System for Adult Intraosseous Infusion is now cleared for purchase by the US Military. We have been advised by the Joint Readiness Clinical Advisory Board, Department of Defense that the F.A.S.T. 1 System can be purchased by any military group that so requests it utilizing the National Stocking Number (#6515-01-453-0960) and that has been trained on the use of the F.A.S.T. 1 System. Confirmation was received at the Association of Military Surgeons Conference in San Antonio, Texas, which was attended by Michael W. Jacobs, President and Terence Turner, Director on behalf of Pyng Medical Corp.
Pyng Medical Corp. has received request to purchase the System from several military sites already including Ranger groups in Fort Benning, Georgia and Fort Lewis, Washington. Pyng Medical is preparing to advance the System to market in a methodical timely manner and will meet with Special Operations Medical Command on December 8th through 11th in Tampa to solidify the procurement procedure inclusive of training.
Pyng Medical Corp. will need to address the training of all-military sites world wide inclusive of VA Hospitals through a comprehensive training program including video, CD-ROM, Internet site, training manuals and training devices that have been or will be developed for this program. Pyng Medical Corp., as a prudent corporate strategy and as part of its marketing program, is convinced that this training procedure should be in place before widespread commercial sales of the F.A.S.T. 1 System takes place. This is to ensure that Pyng Medical Corp. has made very effort to comply with prudent questions of liability in the field as well as provide assurance that military medics, nurses and emergency medical personnel are properly educated in the F.A.S.T. 1 System procedure. This training procedure will also be adopted for the civilian market and will encompass a certification process to ensure that the emergency medical sites as well as emergency medical personnel using the F.A.S.T. 1 in the field are fully trained and competent.
A very positive response was received at the Military Surgeons Conference with all departments of the US and International Military Commands present. We received direct request for full details on the F.A.S.T. 1 System for military use from such notables as Lieutenant General Karl W. Demmer, M.D. Surgeon General of the Bundeswehr, German Federal Ministry of Defense, Col. Lawrence Wilson, Director of Medical Operations, Medical Operations Directorate, US. Airforce.
