Hi JD,..Re:.one has to ask why in a free market system is the FED so concerned about maintaining the current market conditions.

Could it be because the Federal Reserve Banks have significant investments in NDX stocks and other equities?<g> Hasn't Alan been preaching for months about how the banks should reduce risk? I've seen the data before but can't remember where, might be the Fed's NY site.
