David, If you want to spend $60+ dollars on another TA book, "technical Analysis of Stock Trends by Robert Edwards & John Magee ISBM#0-13-904343-8. The other book is better to start with, this one my put you to sleep but it is the best. ALL other books are written from it. It's is in the seventh edition since 1948. This was the first book ever written on TA. You also need a daily update chart system. Email Qoutes Plus: Gary@quotes-plus.com. for a sampledisc. It's Free $16.00/mo gets you many programs you can change for scans or you can write. Also 9600 charts 2 yrs, plus 150 S&P indexs. You can update after 8:00PM each night and then run scans. If you do it over the internet I think the price is $14.00/mo I never have a problem with their 800 number so I pay more. They dso have a yearly rate 10% less. On SI there are several QP threads.
