I've got a couple of other interesting stories which basically support my previous statements. In addition, the analysts are noting that the delay in fully floating Telstra has had a positive effect. Simple supply and demand theory - there's less supply so demand has risen.

1) "Soaring Telstra tipped for $1bn boost"

smh.com.au

Highlights;

".the company could lift annual profits by more than $1 billion over the next eight
years by increasing productivity and cutting costs more."

" Investors pushed up the price when they expected stock to be short because
the Government's proposed sale of the remaining two-thirds stake was on
hold. "

2) "Telstra's high jinks baffle the experts"

smh.com.au

Highlights;
" Even the experts don't know how far Telstra can go."

" What's driving the price rise is a cocktail of the flight to quality stocks, scares
over scrip shortages after the Government's failure to get Senate approval to
sell the rest of Telstra and the price setting bid by AT&T's for TCI in the US."

I hope you're long like me.

Happy investing!

Tony
