Agreed, it is not wise to make ANY investment decision based on what someone says on SI, and without doing the DD. But, let's face it folks. This is not investing. This is legalized gambling, and success or failure depends to a large degree on what others are doing.

One of the things that makes me the angriest is when posters try to establish trust by making themselves appear virtuous and genuine, and then scalping the hell out of a stock once they have established the trust of others.

They will quote passages from the Bible, they will be "experts" in trading, they will tell you of all the folks' accounts they control, and they talk a good line. But, once you trust them, whichever stock they are touting will start to decline. They will tell you to hold on just a little while longer because "good news is coming". (NOTE: If anyone ever tells you to hold a falling stock for '30 more days', RUN LIKE HELL. SELL, because they sure are!!)

I know, the world is full of con men, and SI is no exception, however, it has appeared as of late SI has become the Sheister's Family Reunion site.

Be Afraid. Be VERY Afraid.
