The show goes out to over 15 million households in Asia, the Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.

The show will air Monday, January 31 2000 at 7:30am Hong Kong time.

The interview video will be put up on buynetonline.com, the Bentley Communications Corp. B2B website after the site's unveiling Monday, January 31. Full functionality of buynetonline.com and its subsites will be an ongoing process, done in phases. Additional news will be released shortly.

''This is a very exciting time for Bentley Communications Corp. as our strategic plan unfolds. Our multicultural team's efforts in Hong Kong and the rest of Asia have produced results far beyond our expectations. Our online B2B World Trade Site and 24-Hour Trade Show will empower sellers and buyers to deal direct thus eliminating unnecessary middlemen and markups in a unique environment. We have already received inquiries from companies and investment bankers wishing to discuss merger and underwriting opportunities to suit our growth needs, and we will continue to entertain offers for a while longer,'' said Eric Bauchman, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Bentley Communications Corp. speaking from Hong Kong.

Once it is fully functional, buynetonline.com will be a ''Hybrid Gateway''. Using buynetonline.com as its flagship site, there will be a subset of company catalog, product and commodity listings by continent, targeting the industrial and wholesale buyer. The potential buyer will be able to use a site search utility to source products, compare prices, and then initiate transactions. To this end, BTLY has secured the rights to the URL web names buynetasia.com, buyneteurope.com, buynetsa.com, buynetafrica.com, and buynetbeijing.com.

Under this second phase of the Bentley Communications Corp. fiscal 2000 development plan, companies will be able to offer specific products, product lines or raw materials as well as closeouts or discontinued items, either in a catalog or in an auction-type environment. One side effect of the sales and auction arenas at buynetonline.com will be to create an ad-hoc goods and commodities exchange. In some cases, BTLY will charge a ''facilitation'' fee for bringing the business-to-business buyer and seller together and coordinating the transactions based on a percentage of the total transaction. Bentley will become, in many cases, the ''Manufacturer's Representative'' for companies, but this will cost the producer or manufacturer much less. Multilingual representatives via Internet Telephone, with or without cameras, or by conventional telephone, E-mail and fax, will handle customer service.

Small countries and emerging companies will be drawn into an arena to which they would otherwise not have access, and will participate in a virtual, 24-hour a day World Trade Center or Trade Show for easy sourcing of products and raw materials.

Bentley to E-Sell China's Oversupply to Western Customers:

www.virtualchina.com/trade/tviews/011400-tviews-buynet-jsl.html

By JONATHAN S. LANDRETH
(Virtual China News, Jan. 14) A Los Angeles communications company plans to sell Chinese-made electronic to retailers globally via a multilingual online auction.

Bentley Communications Corp. (BTLY), of Marina Del Rey, CA, has joined with a Chinese electronics manufacturing company specializing in electronic pagers that will allow Bentley to sell the products direct from the factory to customers worldwide.

If the strategy works, it will mark a small but significant advance for both Chinese manufacturers and U.S. companies seeking to source and distribute Chinese goods. Traditionally, factory-direct selling, which can increase a company's sales by lowering the price of bulk purchases, has been difficult to achieve because of laws requiring goods to be sold through extensive middle-level distribution companies.

Online global auctions of Chinese goods would cut out those middlemen, potentially increasing sales and lowering the consumer purchase price of the goods. Online auctions, if they succeeded on a large scale, might also help China address one of its most deeply entrenched economic problems -- overproduction leading to oversupply leading to chronic deflation. Prices in China have been declining for more than two years. Later this month Bentley is scheduled to unveil its new web site, buynetonline.com, and a related site, buynetbeijingonline.com, both of which will serve as gateways for wholesale and retail consumer and industrial products from China.

Liquidation Prices

The company will release the name of its Chinese manufacturing partner "early next month," said Eric Bauchman, Bentley's Vice President.

The buynetonline sites will sell to its e-clients both through an auction and through a shopping cart environment. The sales will feature items sold at "close-out," "liquidation," "discontinued items" and "excess inventory" prices. In addition, buynetonline will employ multilingual customer service agents it plans to hire from the ethnically diverse landscape of Southern California.

If buynetonline.com succeeds it may prove to be a prime example of how the Internet is changing the supply chain of virtually all industries, decreasing the number of middle-men and mark-ups.

"Simply put, E-tailers will lower their net cost of products when they buy online at buynetonline.com," said Bentley Communications President Gordon F. Lee.

"Each registrant to the site will be given a free Internet telephone to do business," Bauchman said. The company will take a "facilitation fee" of between one to two percentage points of every deal, he said.

Bentley was developing a pen-sized pager with partners in Israel just last year when the company hooked up with Hong Kong-based Rock Technologies, a supplier of communications gadgetry to Sharper Image. Through Rock, Lee and Bauchman saw a chance to move their business into the mainland.

Bentley Communications Signs Exclusive China E-Commerce Supply Deal:

biz.yahoo.com/bw/000112/ca_bentley_1.html

MARINA DEL REY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 12, 2000--Bentley Communications Corp. (OTCBB:BTLY - news) has established a reciprocal exclusive working relationship with a Chinese manufacturing company specializing in electronic communications devices This relationship will enable Bentley to combine the best functional aspects of products offered by companies such as Motorola (NYSE:MOT - news) and Qualcomm (Nasdaq:QCOM - news), but at a fraction of the cost. Initially, Bentley will serve as the Chinese manufacturers exclusive representative in North, Central and South America, serving wholesale clients via ''buynetonline.com'', it's E-commerce website which is scheduled for unveiling later this month. The alliance will also allow Bentley to sell proprietary products factory-direct from the People's Republic of China. This development is in alignment with BTLY strategies that include establishing the company as an E-commerce source for products that are either unique in nature or equivalent but significantly less expensive then those currently marketed by other companies. Bentley is scheduled to unveil its new site, buynetonline.com, which will serve as both a gateway and a fully integrated source for wholesale and retail consumer and industrial products. Buynetonline.com will combine the best aspects of websites like ebay.com (Nasdaq :EBAY - news), yahoo.com (Nasdaq: YHOO - news), and amazon.com (Nasdaq: AMZN - news), while passing cost savings directly to the buynetonline.com e-client through a fully functional auction arena. Close-outs, liquidation items, as well as discontinued items and excess inventory can be sold to the highest bidders directly by the company or with buynetonline.com acting as agent. We are all very excited about this development, which is among the first of many commercial inroads into Asia and brings Bentley ever closer to its growth goals for the year 2000. The contracts we are making in both commercial and governmental circles throughout the Eastern Hemisphere are proving invaluable, even at this early stage in our development. This is another example of how the Internet is changing the supply chain of virtually all industries, decreasing the number of middle-men and mark-ups, and enabling both industrial and consumer end-users to get products that are simply less expensive. ''Simply put, E-tailers will lower their net cost of products when they buy online at buynetonline.com,'' said Gordon F. Lee, President of Bentley Communications Corp.
