DDD?s 3D entertainment technology is developing several industry-leading applications that exemplify the future of Internet and media communications.
C-3D Television Network
C-3D Television is the world?s first television network to offer 24-hour 3D programming exclusively to satellite and cable operators. A subscriber- supported premium channel, the network delivers a continuous stream of innovative programming that appeals to an explosive media market of over 80 million cable viewers and satellite dish owners in the U.S. DDD?s 3D channel is also targeting foreign markets and is currently broadcast in Japan.
Content for the network will be derived from DDD?s library of production- quality, stereoscopically-filmed programming and 3D top-selling movies. The Company has acquired over 1,000 movie titles to convert into a 3D format and showcase on its television channel.
The C-3D Television Network division also collaborates with C-3D?s Internet subsidiary 3D.COM to capitalize on emerging mediums such as broadband Internet. The television network has developed a pilot television series, WVRL Arena, which is based on 3D.COM?s online gaming network.
Hotel Movie Network
C-3D Digital?s private television network, Hotel Movie Network (HMN), is dedicated to offering new video experiences via a pay-per-view option. DDD is aggressively targeting the hotel market, which amasses to over 3 million lodging sites. Content for the channel is provided through movie studio agreements and programming produced by C-3D Television.
Since DDD acquired HMN in December 1998, revenue has grown a phenomenal 400% and rooms served have increased exponentially. Currently, more than 11,000 hotel rooms offer HMN in the U.S.

3D VIRTUAL REALITY DDD?s Internet division 3D.COM is set to capitalize on the soaring numbers of users connecting to the Internet worldwide, which is expected to increase from 260 million in 1999 to 500 million in 2002.
The division is developing the world?s first 3D Virtual Reality Portal?. The portal will allow Web surfers to ?go in? rather than just ?go to? a website, providing a sophisticated, interactive 3D experience where one can shop, telepresence, communicate, and play in a 3D virtual environment.
The portal, set to launch in the second half of 2000, will include a revolutionary real-time e-commerce solution, access to cutting-edge technology plug-ins, an online gaming network that will spin-off a related television series on the C-3D Television Network. This comprehensive portal creates unique synergies among DDD?s divisions and is expected to be accretive to earnings. |
